Padma Resorts Ubud Introduces the Local Culture

Bali is an ideal destination offering a unique and authentic local culture that is still being done today. Padma Resort Ubud gives the opportunity to their guests to experience and learn about the locality during their stay.

Purification Journey

Purification, also known as Melukat, is one of the Balinese rituals to purify from negative thoughts and behaviour. The journey starts from Padma Resort Ubud to the sacred temple nearby, where guests will experience the rituals wearing Balinese attire and guided by the priest.

Jamu making

In Padma Resort Ubud, guests can learn about Indonesian herbal drinks called jamu. The team will demonstrate how to process the freshly picked ingredients from our Agroforestry Garden and carefully guide you in brewing jamu.

Balinese Hat (Capil) making

Made of natural material, the Balinese hat, also known as Capil, is a traditional head covering worn by Balinese while working in the field. During their stay in Padma Resort Ubud, guests can learn how to make this iconic piece of Balinese attribute by weaving coconut tree leaves into a hat, guided by the team and taking it home as a gift or keeping it as a lasting memory of your locality experience.

Canang Sari making

Canang Sari, a woven basket made from coconut tree leaves, is filled with familiar flowers and rice that can be found anywhere in Bali. Balinese people make Canang sari as an offering the Gods and to create the balance of nature. Learn how to make it with our team at Padma Resort Ubud.

Village visit

Take a trip to the nearby neighbourhood of Puhu village, just a short walk from the resort, and learn about the vibrant culture of Bali guided by our team. Guests can learn about the day-to-day Balinese life, authentic culture and the traditional Balinese architecture, including the beautiful temples and Balinese gates as part of their house.
